HTC phone running w/ Android, google’s suite of hw/sw/services… put the two together for some really neat apps. I’d love to see the US Army adopt this into advanced warfighter applications – augment with additional capabilities – a full suite of radio direction gear could enable you to look down a street and overlay the cell phones, wifi, bluetooth, etc.. and overlay that onto a tactical interface for guiding packbots, UAV’s, fire missions, etc… all in all, a very neat bit of equipment… lots of possibilities for nerds everywhere.

I wasn’t happy with the dark monotone I got from my original job so I didn’t seal it (good choice) and it’s begun to oxidize and flake. Gonna strip all this off – anyone know a good (safe!) one to use on sculpey & aves? And then give it another try with a wider variety of tones and a better primer job.

Fishy is coming right along; I think I’m going to run an LED through his head and make an angler fish out of him.
